Cross Country Race
Our newly formed cross country team completed their first season with a race on Monday afternoon. Coach Alan Freeman, assisted by Dillon Bell and Alex Curtis, had been preparing our runners for several weeks. Each team had four runners who were very closely matched, as Payton Bell lead his Red team to a close one point margin to win. We look forward to track and field in the spring, and to competing with other schools.
Grandparents’ and Special Friends’
We enjoyed having our family members join us on Monday, October 27th. What a blessing it is to honor our grandparents who are able to be with us. We enjoyed hearing the children sing the Grandparents Day song, the 2nd graders singing the books of the Bible, and the newly formed worship team leading us in singing. A short reminder from God’s word that as family members not only allow, but bring, their children to Jesus, there is a blessing in it for all.
After our chapel program, the children, accompanied by their family members, were able to show their work and gifts in their classrooms. It was a great afternoon!
Spiritual Emphasis Week
This week we have enjoyed meeting new friends from Coastland Consulting in New Hampshire. Dr. Pam Brady, Mr. Matt Huffman, and Miss Cassie Dall have made this a special week, as they have taught us new songs, new moves, new challenges, and a fresh way of receiving God’s word. Our 8th grade students have had focused time with them as they have journaled daily, and our other classes have enjoyed having them in the classroom to answer questions, pray with them, and get to know them. What a refreshing week this has been for faculty and students alike!
