Inclement Weather Procedures

For times of inclement weather, CLA usually follows the Brookfield School system. So, if Brookfield schools are closed, CLA will be closed as well.

However, because we have many families and staff commuting from long distances, we do reserve the right to determine whether the school will open in cases where Brookfield schools are delayed or have early dismissal. This is done for the safety of our families and staff. In all cases, CLA will communicate our status in the following ways:

  1. Through Gradelink
  2. Through the media: Look for our specific school update on NBC30 (Channel 6), WFSB (Channel 3), and CTWeather.com. You can sign up for text and/or email messages specifically for our school from either of these sources by clicking:

Spirit Week

A letter from the 8th Grade Class.

Dear CLA Families,

At the end of the year we, the eighth grade class, typically will go on a field trip. Our plans for our trip this year involves going to Lancaster, PA and being able to watch a musical production at the Christian theatre Sight & Sound. In order for us to be able to go on this trip we need help raising some money. At the beginning of the year we sold calendars, we have some left please let us know if you would like to buy one. We also have had a bake sale, and will be planning another one in the spring.

However, we’d like to shake things up a little bit and present to you our idea for a fundraiser. We will be having our very own CLA Spirit Week!! It will be the week of February 10th through the 13th.

Below are the dates and how to dress for Spirit Week.

The suggested amount for a donation for dressing up is $2.

Monday, February 10th – Pajama Day! Come in nice and cozy in your best PJs.

Tuesday, February 11th – Decades Day! Pick a decade and dress up like       you’re from that era!

Wednesday, February 12th *Character Day! Pick either a sports team or a Career Person to dress up as. (Please note the change for Character Day)

Welcome 2020!

Happy New Year!  May each of you be blessed with a prosperous and healthy year!  It’s a pleasure seeing the smiling faces of our students and teachers after a well deserved time of rest.

A new year is a great time to reflect on the past and to set goals for the future.  As you look into the future I’d like to challenge you to keep Christ at the center of your plans and to allow Him to direct your steps.

At Christian Life Academy we will continue to strive for excellence in academics and in spirituality.  We strive to raise up a generation of young people that are fully devoted and fully developed followers of Christ.  A generation that is awake to their need for a genuine relationship with God and is passionate about serving Him by meeting the needs of others.

May God richly bless you in this new year!

In His service,

Deana DiLuggo, Principal
