Spiritual Life

By definition, an evangelist is “a preacher of the Gospel.”  In the Bible, Jesus gives a command to His disciples that carries down to all generations. “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

We believe in the Acts 1:8 model of missions: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

At Christian Life Academy we partner with local churches where our families attend and worship. We believe this embodies the scripture in Ecclesiastes: ….”a threefold cord is not easily broken”.   A family grounded in a solid church, with Scripture-based teaching, will find that Christian Life Academy serves to supplement and reinforce what is being taught at church and in the home.  Not only does this allow our students’ heart to be cultivated and nurtured in truth, but it gives them the ability to share Christ’s love and why they believe what they do, with others.

Chapel, Bible classes, service projects and Bible studies are opportunities we offer at Christian Life Academy to deepen Biblical truth and worldview in our students and cultivate the knowledge and tools they need to be able to share the gospel with others.

Chapel

Chapel is a time for our student body to take a break from all the busyness of the school week to remember what Christian Life Academy is all about – developing students with a heart for God. Chapel represents a section of time we set aside each week to intentionally connect with God through worship and to be challenged to explore the depths of God’s truth and love.

Involving our students in helping to open our chapel times, to lead our worship service, and occasionally to present the chapel message, gives them opportunities to be servant leaders.  Area  ministries/missionaries are guests for whom we use the proceeds from our dress down day to bless their ministry.  Our Prayer Buddy Teams have formal prayer time once a month, and we always are watchful for ways to be a blessing to our community.

While Chapel is often structured as a worship service, the purpose of Chapel is different from the spiritual development students receive from their local church.  Thus, Chapel is never intended to take the place of a local church in a student’s life.

Student attendance in chapel is required, as we see this as an important part of developing students with a heart for God. We believe that all teaching must be built on a foundation of God’s truth.
