What’s in store for 2023-2024?

CLA will be taking part in the Doodle4Google contest again!

It’s time to start sketching, because this year’s Doodle 4 Google contest begins soon!  Students in grades K-8 are invited to bring their imagination to life in a doodle of the Google logo, using any medium they choose. The winner’s artwork will be featured on the Google homepage and they received a scholarship.  This is a great opportunity for our young artists to share their God-given talents and creative ideas!

CLA uses, GAFE (Google Apps for Education), to promote collaboration, interactive learning and communication in the classroom and with our families.

The education edition of Google Apps is equipped with all necessary tools for communication, collaboration, documentation, storage, sharing, learning and high security.

Google Apps for Education (GAFE) is bundle of 7 core and 60+ other apps which includes Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drawing), Classroom and more with 99.9% uptime SLA guaranteed on core applications.  Applications are active (or inactive) based on the classroom needs.

Our technology program incorporates GAFE in practice lessons.  Throughout the year, students learn how to best utilize appropriate Google Apps for in-class assignments and projects.

Typing Club is a great way for our students to learn the skill of touch typing.  With a combination of lessons and games, students grades 3-8 learn how to type with targeted lessons.
