Pizza Fridays are Here!

Beginning Friday, April 9th, Christian Life Academy will be offering pizza to be purchased for your child’s Friday lunch. If you would like to order for your child, please send in the order form and money by Wednesday each week (CASH only). Serving suggestion is 2 slices for older students. Please make sure to pack your child’s drink and snacks.

Below you will find the dates for Pizza Fridays. Order forms will be sent home weekly in Friday folders and are also available here to download and print.

Yearbooks 2021

Dear Parents,

A yearbook is a wonderful treasure full of memories for years to come, and now is the time to place your child’s order!

Our CLA Yearbooks will be in color and will include class photos, candid pages, group photos & various clubs, and autograph pages. Students will have an opportunity to ask their classmates for their autographs too!

Please be aware that after orders have been made, we will not be able to make additional ones. All book orders are due by May 3rd. The cost for each yearbook is $20.

If you are interested in purchasing a business booster ad the cost is $15 for business size card ads. Please send requests to jcoles@brookfieldcla.org. Business cards need to be 300 dpi. Due by April 1st.

We will offer Fan Mail again. Family, friends, and teachers will be able to send words of encouragements & congratulations in the form of “Fan Mail.” These will cost $5 each for 1″ x 4″ size. Limit word size to approximately 40 words. For example, “Student’s name, Congratulations, you’re doing a great job! Love Mom & Dad.” Due by April 1st.

Fan Mail MUST be emailed to jcoles@brookfieldcla.org. Hand written notes will not be accepted.

Food Drive

Brookfield First is sponsoring a food drive to replenish various food banks in the greater Danbury area. CLA will be joining them in this effort in collecting non-perishable food items beginning on March 15th and ending on March 26th.

A cart will be out under the canopy by the front doors for donated food items.

Worldwide Day of Prayer

This year, ACSI is hosting a Worldwide Day of Prayer on February 23, 2021. The theme is Flourish, focusing our prayers (with a global community of faith) around the areas of purpose, relationships, teaching & learning, expertise & resources, and well-being.

This year’s anchor verse is Jeremiah 17:7-8. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Please join us this Tuesday for a day of prayer and fellowship, and don’t forget to share on social media using the hashtag #SchoolsThatPray.

Christian Life Academy will be celebrating Friendship Day on Thursday, February 11th.

Don’t forget to wear your red, white, pink, and any fun accessories you have for this festive dress down day!

Re-enrollment: Changes for the 2021-2022 School Year

We are doing something new this year regarding re-enrollment, and it’s called Continuous Enrollment.

Continuous Re-enrolling Contracts and instructions on how to re-enroll on Gradelink were sent home in last week’s Friday folder. If you have any questions, please call the office. 203-775-5191 x2. 

A few things you will need to know:

  • You will be automatically billed $90 for the re-enrollment fee unless you notify us differently. If done before March 15th, re-enrollment is $90 for one child and $150 for two or more per family after that the fee will go up to $125 for one child or $250 for a family. 
  • Completing the re-enrolling contract along with the registration fee and completing the “EnrollMe” process on Gradelink will assure your child’s placement at CLA.
  • With the class size being a  limit of ten, we highly suggest you take advantage of re-enrolling before we open registration to the public on March 22nd.  We already have a waiting list for almost every grade!

Inclement Weather Procedures- 2021

For times of inclement weather, CLA usually follows the Brookfield School system. So, if Brookfield schools are closed, CLA will be closed as well.

However, because we have many families and staff commuting from long distances, we do reserve the right to determine whether the school will open in cases where Brookfield schools are delayed or have early dismissal. This is done for the safety of our families and staff. In all cases, CLA will communicate our status in the following ways:

  2. Media:
  3. You can sign up for text and/or email messages specifically for our school from either of these sources by clicking here.
  4. Announcements are generally posted on our Facebook page by 6:30 am.
  • 2 Hour Delay
    • 10:20 am student arrival
    • 10:30 am school begins
      • There is NO Before Care
    • Normal dismissal time
  • 3 Hour Delay
    • 11:20 am student arrival
    • 11:30 school begins
    • Normal dismissal time

Every day our teachers and staff pour into our kids the Gospel Message and that God is the source of all wisdom and knowledge. And they’re going to need every drop!
