Inclement Weather Procedures

Dear CLA Families,

For times of inclement weather (school closings, delays, and early dismissals), CLA usually follows the Brookfield School system. So, if Brookfield schools are closed, CLA will be closed as well.

However, because we have many families and staff commuting from long distances, we do reserve the right to determine whether the school will open in cases where Brookfield schools are delayed or have early dismissal. This is done for the safety of our families and staff. In all cases, CLA will communicate our status in the following ways:

  1. Email:
    • Gradelink
  2. Media:
    • NBC30 (Channel 6)
  3. Text from Christian life Academy: Contact the main office if you are unsure your phone number is current

  • 2 Hour Delay
    • 10:20 am student arrival
    • 10:30 am school begins
      • There is NO Before Care
    • Normal dismissal time
  • 3 Hour Delay
    • 11:20 am student arrival
    • 11:30 school begins
      • There is NO Before Care
    • Normal dismissal time
  • Early Dismissals
    • 11:30 am (typically)
      • NO Bus service

Matching Grant Campaign

December 1, 2023

A letter from Principal O’Neil

Dear Families of Christian Life Academy:

We are excited and very grateful to announce that once again, a small group of generous donors have offered to match any donations given to CLA for the month of December!

As you know, prices are skyrocketing and requests for financial aid are higher than ever. Your donations help the school offer financial aid to families who otherwise may not be able to attend. In addition, your donations help offset the ever-rising costs of running the school.

Your faithful giving in the past has helped Christian Life Academy to:

  • Work with a marketing company to increase our enrollment
  • Provide professional development for our staff
  • Complete necessary security updates
  • Extend financial aid and scholarship opportunities to families who otherwise would not be able to send their child(ren) to CLA
  • Install a new playground
  • One parent wrote…

“My son started attending CLA in 3rd grade after struggling academically and socially in the public schools. The teachers and staff at CLA built him up with academics, the Bible and God’s love while nurturing him through some difficult times.   This year our son will be graduating from CLA with honors and is very well prepared for high school.  He has been equipped with strong academic and social skills and with a desire to learn.  He has also learned the value in choosing his friends wisely and keeping close to his Savior.  We will be forever grateful to everyone at CLA.  I pray that CLA goes through 12th grade someday – I would be the first in line to sign up.  We hit a home run with CLA, and you will too!”

That’s why we’re asking for your support today.  ALSO, a group of generous donors is matching every dollar we receive now through December 31st! Your gift will have twice the impact!

Your tax-deductible gift helps Christian Life Academy fulfill its mission of equipping this generation to become fully devoted and developed followers of Christ. You can give online HERE or you can text GIVE to our “text-to-give” number, 888-521-5528, or you can mail in a check!

Please give now. Every dollar you contribute will be matched (up to $10,000), doubling your impact.

We appreciate you and your continued support of Christian Life Academy. May God bless you and your family for your gift and prayers for our school!

Sincerely,

Craig O’Neil, Principal

and our CLA School Board:

Our New Lunch Program!

Christian Life Academy’s Lunch Program

Christian Life Academy is pleased to announce the new lunch program for the 2023-2024 school year, hosted by Ali Morgan the owner and chef of Alleycat Catering!  We will be sending home order forms for October’s menu in your child’s Friday folder.

A Letter from Alli Morgan

Dear CLA parents,

My name is Alli, and I’m the owner of Alleycat Catering. I provided the CLA hot lunch program for 9+ years up until the Covid pandemic. That very difficult season made the program impossible to run, and so we had no choice but to close it down. This Fall, however, we are excited to be back and to commence our 10th year!

A little information about me. I was born and raised in Australia where, after a four-year working apprenticeship and trade college, I qualified as a chef and then worked in several restaurants, including one of the largest department stores in Melbourne.

I am passionate about good nutrition for our own family, and a big believer in the truth of what ancient Hippocrates said: “Let food be thy medicine, or medicine will be thy food.” I believe that, working together, we can encourage all our children to love eating well.

My husband and I have 6 children, all of whom have been students at CLA! 4 have graduated, with 2 enrolled for 2023-2024. We love our school. It is always such a joy to have the support of parents and staff so that I can serve you and your children the best way possible. I know how much we all look forward to the new school year, and I can’t wait to see all the little faces once again.

Love and blessings,

Alli Morgan

Alleycat Catering

Please submit October’s order forms to the Main Office by Thursday, September 28th

Alleycat Catering has provided a yummy preview of this month’s dishes.

We can’t wait to try them!

  • Big Mac in a Bowl – A delicious, healthy salad that tastes just like a Big Mac without the bun. Ground beef, cheese and delicious “special sauce”. You’ll love it!
  • Indian Butter Chicken – Chicken cooked in the fragrant tastes of India (but not too spicy) – ginger, garlic, turmeric, garam masala and cumin, lathered in a lemony yogurt sauce.
  • Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl – Tender pieces of stir-fry chicken covered with a sweet soy sauce glaze, served on a bed of rice and vegetables.

Welcome Back, CLA!

Dear CLA Parents and Community,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all back to Christian Life Academy!  We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms, filling them with excitement and enthusiasm for learning.  It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, safe, and connected to the CLA family. We strive to challenge each student to grow both spiritually and academically, while helping each student achieve their best and realize the fullness of God’s plan for their lives.  At CLA, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating a classroom environment in which each student is engaged in the learning process. We believe that all students have the potential to be world changers and we strive to help them harness their God-given gifts and talents, using them to glorify God and to be productive citizens.

I am honored to serve as the principal of Christian Life Academy.  It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Once again, welcome back!  Let’s make 2023/2024 another amazing year at CLA!

Sincerely,

Craig O’Neil
