Spirit Week

Did you hear the news?  It’s school spirit week at Christian Life Academy!  Every day this week, (Monday, November 14th – Friday, November 18th) students can show their school spirit by participating in dress down days.  Each day has a different theme . . . and can you guess the best part?  Students may participate for free!  We can’t wait to see our students’ creativity!

Parent-Teacher Conferences & First Quarter Report Cards

Dear Parents,

Parent-Teacher Conferences are just around the corner!   Conference dates and times for Grades K-8 have been scheduled through the main office.  If you have any questions about your scheduled time, please call (203) 775-5191 [ext. 2].

This year, conferences will be online and held through Google Meet on Thursday, November 10th.   More information, including the Google Meet link to your conference, will be provided by your student’s teacher.

First Quarter Report Cards

Grades 1-8 report cards will be published online through Gradelink on Friday, November 4th. A pop-up button will appear on your app for you to click on to view/print your child’s report card.  Online report cards will be available until Monday, November 28th.  Your Gradelink login was sent home to you the first week of school.  Just in case you’re not sure where your login info paper is located, another link will be sent via email.

Grades will be locked during Oct. 25th-Nov. 3rd.  You will not be able to access your child’s Gradelink account during this period.  Access to your child’s account will reopen Friday, November 4th.

Join Us! Holiday Fundraiser

Dear CLA Families,

We are so excited to announce this year’s holiday fundraiser Heart & Home – hosted by Cherrydale!   With this fundraiser you will not only support CLA enrichment programs, but 40% of your sales will also be deducted from your fundraising fees.  It’s a win-win!  Fundraising catalogs were sent home in last week’s Friday Folders and include instructions to get started.  If you have additional questions, please click HERE for more information.

If every student sells a minimum of 10 items, we will hit our $5,000 goal as a school. The class that sells the most will earn an ice cream party!  All classes will be averaged by class size and sales to determine class winners. Winners will be announced to the whole school over the PA!

One Cup of Coffee Campaign

Dear CLA Community,

Considering the world today – it is evident that a strong Christian education could not be more important.  Are you looking for a way to support Christian Life Academy that will fit your budget?  We’re inviting you to join the “One Cup Of Coffee” Campaign!  — a monthly giving program. God is able to bless and multiply even the smallest sacrifice given in faith. Trade just one or two fancy brews for a donation by clicking HERE. Each month, your $10 (or more) donation will be added with others to make one significant impact!

WHAT CAN MY $10 DO FOR CLA STUDENTS?

For many CLA families and prospective families it’s very difficult to afford a Christian education.  You have the power to change all of that.

Here’s what appreciative parents are saying:

“Placing our child in CLA was the best decision I’ve made. Her confidence is back. She loves coming to school again. She is able to get one-on-one help and her reading levels have gone up. She’s learning new things everyday and enjoys it. She no longer feels overwhelmed. By keeping our daughter in CLA she will get the best education and learning experience there is.”

“CLA has been a second family to our daughter. She has learned so many things academically, socially, and spiritually. She is safe and appreciated by teachers and friends. The continuous effort to improve every aspect of the school motivates us to continue investing there and spreading the word in our community.”

Praise the Lord for these testimonies!  This is why we’re inviting you to join the monthly giving “One Cup of Coffee campaign.

Collectively, your ongoing monthly gift, along with others can:

  • Provide urgently needed support for families earnestly desiring a Christian education
  • Come together to help CLA build strong Biblical foundations in our kids in our communities

Our CLA families and kids are counting on you!

Letter from the Principal

Dear CLA Parents and Community,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all back to Christian Life Academy!  We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms filling them with excitement and enthusiasm for learning.  It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, safe, and connected to the CLA family. We strive to challenge each student to grow both spiritually and academically.  At CLA, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating a classroom environment in which each student is engaged in the learning process. We believe that all students have the potential to be world changers and we strive to help them harness their God-given gifts and talents, using them to glorify God and to be productive citizens.

I am honored to serve as the principal of Christian Life Academy.  It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Once again, welcome back!  Let’s make this another amazing year at CLA!

Sincerely,

Craig O’Neil
